Jennifer Crompton
WMUR-TV Seacoast Bureau Reporter

A New Hampshire native, Jennifer has never wanted to live anywhere else. She feels incredibly fortunate to be doing what she loves, in the state she loves.

She has always loved writing; it’s the only job she ever imagined herself doing. Her tenure with WMUR-TV began in 1989 and she’s held nearly every job in the newsroom. In 1991 she got her dream job as Seacoast Bureau reporter. Then, due to vocal cord issues, she went back to writing behind the scenes, became Executive Producer, Assistant News Director, weekend anchor and reporter (after some surgery!) and in 2000 was honored to become News Director. In 2004 she took a break to spend time with family and worked part-time, producing pieces for NH Chronicle.

With her kids grown, Jennifer had the opportunity to return to the Seacoast Bureau full-time. She is committed to fairly and compassionately reflecting the goings-on of a community and state that are her heartfelt home.

Jennifer moved to Portsmouth after graduating from UNH, married Bob, and they raised two wonderful children (and three dogs).

Jennifer will share with us how she got into news reporting, what keeps her engaged in her work, and a story or two about her more interesting assignments. And as a reporter, I’m sure she’ll take questions!

Please join us March 26, 2019 for a great evening of networking, dinner, and especially to get to know Jennifer as she shares the story of her career with WMUR-TV.
