Have you ever heard people say, "You can do anything you want to if you just put your mind to it.?" Well, our speaker for September 22nd, Suzanne Foley, did just that and has become a great success both locally and nationally.
Suzanne had the idea of bringing a food product to market over 30 years ago, but instead held management positions for most of her career. In 2015, at age 57, she thought retirement was on the distant horizon, but she suddenly found herself unemployed. At the same time she suffered overwhelming personal heartache.
However, she never stopped believing in herself. With a solid resume and a hard work ethic, she launched Port City Pretzels in the fall of 2015. Her passion for independence and creativity was the driving force behind her decision to introduce a specialty food product into stores. She has seen significant growth and finds herself with a national presence and a prediction for greater future success.
Port City Pretzels is certified as a 100% Women Owned Business and in 2020 Suzanne received the Small Business Women of the Year award from the NH Small Business Administration. Port City Pretzels has also been recognized as a Disability Inclusive Business. In 2018 it was recognized as a Best of NH Winner by NH Magazine and in 2016 her pretzels won Best New Product by Made in New England.
