"SPEAKING OF WRITING"
What is your relationship with writing? For you, is it mind-blowing, overwhelming, tedious, cathartic, challenging, or a tool to be sharpened without hurting yourself? It can also be enriching, rewarding, great fun, or all the above. Whether it is a communication tool at work or in your job title, there are ways to enjoy it more and suffer less.
Andrea will share with you her Baker's Dozen of Writing Ingredients. For example, Number 7 is A Tincture of Time. She will talk about her own evolution as a writer and how the skills can grow and adapt to life stages.
Andrea Cleghorn is a journalist, author, and writing coach. She loves helping people navigate the world of writing and has a B.A. in journalism and master’s in social work. Born in New York, she started school in Connecticut, grew up in the Chicago area, spent her 20s in Los Angeles, and has been in the Boston area ever since. Her first real job was columnist of “Dear Jack" at 'Teen Magazine, followed by book editor at the Boston Herald, social worker in a psych unit, and travel writer and photographer. She is a facilitator of “Writing Out of the Box,” extemporaneous writing to prompts, both in New England and in a small-town bookstore/café in Ireland.
